Crashing for no reason...(?)

I have no idea why but my game has this constant problem...
When testing my game, it almost always crashes if i have made a new event tile, executed it and then tried to change location. The event will work perfectly but once executed, the game will crash if i try to change location.
What is weirder is that this problem seem to sometimes correct itself without me doing anything. I abandoned my game for a week or so (...I got temporarily re addicted to heroes of might and magic 2 ;)) and when i tried it again today it worked. Strange.
Memory problem? I've got it set to 34000k in the options menu. If anyone else has had this bizzarre problem and have managed to sort it out i'd love to hear from you :D.

Mr. Migraine,

Are you launching the game from within Coldstone, or independantly?

I'm running it through Coldstone. 34000k is the highest i can get it before it won't launch while coldstone is open. Coldstone itself is just set to the default 40mb. I'll try launching the game independantly (with no coldstone running in the background at all) next time i have this problem, and see if it helps.
cheers 🙂

Yeah, try to launch it independantly. Or try boosting Coldstone's memory. I have mine set to 200MB of memory allocated, and it runs nice and smooooooooooothly. 🙂

I've had some strange crashing problems as well. I found that selecting Build and Launch (as supposed to just launch) usually fixes the problem. Also, if you need to have more memory for the game, you can select Build and Launch and it will still rebuild your game, even though it won't launch.

Had this issues for a while m'self.
You almost aalways should run your game independantly.
This is assuming you don't have;

200mb of additional ram (like me and my 2year old iMac)

An application like GameLauncher that'll quit the finder first/or an applescript that'll do it safer.
(a good thing to consider bundling with your games )
