If you want Ambrosia/Beenox to post the tutorial as a seperate download, please add your reply below.
Thanks!

Appreciated, but I'd like to have access to the one that Beenox made before I make a decision on buying the full copy. I don't want to wait until the CD comes out before I can start building my game.
I want A tutorial, from whoever, as long as it helps me make a sound decision on whether to buy Coldstone or not.
------------------ Bear with me, I'm only an English major.
Bring on the tutorials!!!
Yes! It's obvious that almost all of us need tutorials to advance our games. (I registered the first day.) Madman, I assume you have no clear idea how long yours will take?
Not long.
And, should you all buy coldstone? Hell yeah! It's simple enough to use if you know how and incridibly powerful. If you have an interest in creating games, get coldstone.
I doubt ASW would make the tutorial available for separate download, for a couple reasons.
A.) It's a big hassle. B.) A full tutorial is not something to be scoffed at -- having to pay before you get it isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Yeah, bring us the tutorial.

I have bought ColdStone. but I am waiting for the CD to come through as It's pretty tough to try and work out how to create a game from scratch with out it
Please post the tutorial, I could do with the help!

Everyone at Beenox has done an incredible job with Coldstone, and I don't mean to rush anyone when I say that I'd like a tutorial as soon as possible.
I'm beginning to think that I'd be wasting my time registering Coldstone as I'm simply not skilled enough to be able to use it. The Demo has more than enough complicated features to baffle me, but I am enjoying playing with it. When there are a few more resources online to help me work out what I'm doing, I'll be able to work out whether I should register it, or whether I should just go back to playing the games made with it...
Spiffo.
I agree, you need a tutorial do decide if you want to register Coldstone. Without one, you don't know what it does!

Yeah, a tutorial would be VERY nice. I'm trying to create a plugin for PoG, but I have very little knowledge of how to use Coldstone.
It'd be nice, but I think Beenox is too busy in their garages taping up the hundreds of thousands of Coldstone CDs to find time to post it.

As one idea (I'm doing it), you can duplicate the Coldstone application, and launch both of them. In one of the applications, load the stock medieval game, and with the other application, load your game. You can then easily compare how they do stuff, and figure it out in relation to your game.

I think it would be very much in ASW's interest to make the tutorial available for download. When we're talking about a product like Coldstone, the tutorial not only explains how to use it, it is also a compelling commercial - it tells you all about how flexible and powerful Coldstone is, and lists, in excruciating detail, everything that it can do.
GlueBubble: Although the tutorial might be a hassle to create, it's worthless in itself. Nobody's life is enriched by a tutorial for a product they don't own. So although it might be an operating expense, a freely downloadable tutorial would not take away people's motivation to pay for Coldstone - ASW will make the same amount of money whether we have to wait or not. Making the tutorial available is just more convenient for people who plan to make games... and since those same people will probably end up selling those games through Ambrosia...

I didn't mean a hassle to create -- I just meant a hassle to upload and change the website to show it. However, some of my thinking is dependent on what restrictions the unregistered version of Coldstone has -- I haven't ever had a Coldstone version that was limited -- what are the restrictions?
I, for one, will not pay for Colstone until I can get a tutorial, either from ASW or somewhere else. Why should I pay for something I can get nothing out of?
I'd have to agree with the tutorial being a great advertisement, the manual only goes over basics
Yes, we need a tutorial. I can't figure anything out in the demo, and I don't want to buy coldstone if I can't even understand the demo.
