That was really annoying. Thanks for trying anyway Dingo and thanks to everyone who got up at awkward times to try and join.

Very annoyed......no sorry - that's an understatement..... EXTREMELY annoyed!!
.....
I was looking forward to this tournament all week.........
C U on the tracker (if it works)
Helix
One question still remains: why would the tracker crash minutes before the tournament was about to start? Tends to suggest that the tracker can't handle more than 10 players on it........it's gonna be brilliant when the PC users get pop-pop, won't it!
C U on the tracker, when it decides to let me on again

Yes it was really annoying. And it is really strange that the tracker is always going down if tournaments are started. I can remember days where more players were on the tracker with less or no problems. Anyway I want to thank Dingo for hosting and hope that we can start a similar tourney soon.
In my opinion the tourney would have been possible to be held without the tracker if we all would have a possibility to communicate on one platform. So we should try to get most people either on iChat/AIM or on irc, so that in this case a new plan can be communicated by the host... maybe some discipline would be needed for that (no crosschating) but it would be possibel. Anyway... another thing we should test for tourneys is gameranger which AFAIK can completely replace the network lounge and gives chat-opportunities in parallel... Maybe somebody already has experiences with it!? (url="http://"http://www.gameranger.com")http://www.gameranger.com(/url)
CU all on the tracker.
P.S. the tracker for the new version (betatest) was not down at that time... maybe this is interesting for ambrosia.

Yeah good idea, I totally forgot about GameRanger. This, I think, is the best solution until the tracker is fixed. And as you say, it allows everyone to communicate in one place as well as host and join games just like the Pop-Pop lounge. Nice!
Me: ... just like the Pop-Pop lounge.
Without the crashing of course!
