Tourney on Sunday 27th?

Anyone up for a Tourney on Sunday 27th? Are you up for it and can you host Crono?

I'm happy to host whenever I can (i.e. not at work or sleeping or pre-booked!) if you guys decide on a time, I'll host then. Preference on my side (since Moday is work) is sometime before 9pm UK time.

If it's before 2AM Monday local time (4PM Sunday GMT), I'll be there.

Sorry I haven't been about much lately; work's a bitch.

In that case, I deem the motion passed πŸ˜‰

I shall host a tournament on Sunday 27th April , at noon UK time which is 11am GMT

@kΔ„llme, yes anyone can play, providing they read the (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/rchristie/various/pop_pop")guidelines and etiquette page first(/url)

Hope to see you all there. Shall I post another topic, or is this okay?

Hi!
I think you don't have to start another topic.
Me and my friend will be there (same computer).
See you!

Recently the database server of my (i must admit very cheap) provider crashed and the database of the tourney system was completely gone. If we want to use the system again for the upcoming tourney, everyone has to register on the system again. Those who had the rights to host tourneys will have those rights again as soon as I see that they re-registered.

I am looking forward to playing the next tourney.

Hey Hyko, I've re-registered. Let me know when I can create the tournament! πŸ™‚

You are able to create new tournaments again, now πŸ™‚
All players who want to participate in the tourney are asked to (re-)register on the system and to sign in for the tourney as soon as Crono has created it. It will still be possible short before the tourney but the earlier you sign in the less organisation effort is needed on the tournament day πŸ™‚

Tourney has now been created "Post Easter Tourney" at 12noon UK time

------------------

can someone figure out for me what time that will be in Hawaii???? thanks

------------------

I believe that hawaii is 10hrs behind GMT, makig it 11hrs behind the UK (which is GMT+1). So 1am your time. Not 100% sure about this, but fairly. California is GMT -9hrs, so this makes sense.

Noon UK time is good for me, I'm looking forward to playing. Hope the time is not too awkward for US players.

Two things: first, I haven't seen the pop-pop_tourn list announcement for this tournament yet.. did I miss it, or has it not gone out yet? Especially since it's been such a while since the last tournament (compared with their previous frequency, at least), I think it'd be helpful to get the news out that we're still alive here.

Also, I'm afraid I won't be able to play in the tournament; I will be far from my (and any) Mac, and also sleeping most likely. In general if we're going to have morning tournaments (EST morning, that is), I'd be more likely to be able to make it on Saturday than Sunday; but Saturday mornings at that time (7:00 AM here, noon in the UK) would work quite well for me, I think. Of course, I've been playing so much lately I don't need tournaments to have a chance to play people... I should probably be taking a break from the game, even! Not that I will, of course! πŸ˜„

anklebiter offered to forward round the details, and I asked him in at least two threads. No follow-up though. I do not have permissions to post to the list myself.

Well, being someone who is usually up at 6:30am each day, I'm afraid I have little sympathy for 7am's πŸ˜‰ Shame you are going to be away for this one. 😞

However, I have tried several times to get people to debate about when they would collectively like the tournaments to be, and not had quite as much interest in expressing opinions as I might have hoped! For instance, you had four days just on this thread between request and confirmation πŸ˜‰ Be that as it may, it's obviously practically impossible to get everyone in each time - just too wide a time zone disparity. Hope you can make the next one - I'll see about hosting one on a Saturday πŸ™‚

Nono, 7 is usually good for me! Any day of the week but Sunday it would be, actually. It's just that Sundays I have to be in church by either 9 or 8:15; so aside from the fact that we'd never finish a tournament before then, I also need time to eat and shower and whatnot. But anyways, like I said don't trouble too much to consider my schedule for this tournament business: I probably have more free time than anyone else here these days, so I oughta be able to be the most flexible. Also, nearly all the tournaments so far have been at great times for me, so I don't feel like I should be complaining if other people get a chance to have th same convenience.

Yeah, I wish I could play... but trust me, I have a good excuse! πŸ˜„ I should be back for the next one.
