Heh. Yes, quite similar. Back in the good ol' days I used to take software and step on it for an entertaining pop noise. Good times.

Because I happen to love explosions, i happen to love "pop-pops" or snaps, as they're usually called. Another neat trick is to unroll all the little snaps, pour all the gunpowdered rocks out onto a napkin, and make an ex-tra large snap with an ex-tra large sound!
