Haven't seen an active Ares ship pole lately, so to maybe get a good topic to wake up the Ares boards a bit, let's give it a shot, shall we? I'll add the votes up as we go...
My vote would have to go for the Ishiman Heavy Cruiser. Although I'm a huge fan of the Aud Cruiser and Salrelian Gunship, nothing beats the good 'ol Ishiman Heavy Cruiser in the single player games. It's excellent rate of laser and proton fire, as well as a good combination of speed make it a darn reliable and fun-to-fly vessel.

brookeview: I probably would have chosen the enhanced Ishiman heavy cruiser for its sheer firepower and speed, but the fact that you only get it for one mission kinda blew it.
By the way, I prefer my Ares poles more hexagon-shaped. What's wrong with you people?
I haven't played much Ares, but the Ishmian Heavy Cruiser is the most effective Ares vessel I've been able to fly.

Eleejetian Cruiser from the original Ares Game gets my No.1 vote here. No doubts about it. Firepower, speed, power reserves and manouverability are superb...

well obviously the best ship in multiplayer is the audoman cruiser. It could kill every other ship in the game in multiplayer. And lots of times the computer controls them better then you do cus they're so damn fast.
but i've always liked the ishiman hvd, especially when playing against races other than the sals or auds. it just needs some more shields.
the cantharian hvd has the coolest looking weapon. It looks so dank when you're using it. It's cloaking thing looks cool as well, which makes it the coolest looking ship.
anybody see the new ares pole? i heard it was so cooool. It's freakin like 50 feet tall, and it's got one cool flag on the top.
