Hey Y'all!
Am playing Trinity (with Spells Expander) as a conjuror. Right now I'm just extending play time by trying to get to the next level (26). This is not some compelling problem ... just a matter of being curious.
What does the "Elixir of Wisdom" do? I know it says it permanently adds one point to your wisdom, but what does that mean? I don't see the point reflected anywhere. Use a strength elixir, your strength goes up one point ... dexterity, perception, etc.
Should I save wisdom elixirs to use at a specific time?
Like I said, I'm just curious. What purpose do they serve?
Hugs comin' at yuz, P.

Wisdom increases how many magic points you gain when you level up. It took me a long time to figure it out too..

Ah ... "when you level up"!
So ... I should use/spend my wisdom before I get to the next level and that'll get me higher than I otherwise would have been?
Asking only cuz I have a mere 4,000,000 exp. points to go before I get there.
Now it's "game", not curiosity!
Thank you muchly.
Hugs, P.
Wisdom was not used in PoG originally because magic was not used, but with the addition of Trinity, I beleive Stark added it to his SE plug-in. It works a lot like Vitality, each extra points affects how many you get per level like mac said. At your level I am not even sure if 1 extra will put you over the margin for an effect (i.e. any point over 15 vit. will add 1 extra, any under 15 won't matter). Does anyone know your base int, and the number it starts adding to your total?

Drink it. "It don't hurt none." Yes, I think the effect is credited on the next level-up. Only dummies wouldn't want more wisdom, right?

Are you incinerating sumthin?
Not that I'm even close to the next level, but I shall drink deeply of the wisdom elixirs before I get there.
Still, I'd like to hear from the creator of this program exactly what he had in mind ... simply to assuage my curiosity.
Yeah, yeah. Curiosity killed the cat (but satisfaction brought it back), however I'm a bat. And an old one at that.
Please sate this old bat's curiosity quotient. It's not gonna give away any trade secrets, but it sure will make me much more happier. I need happier right now.
Hugs on yuz, P.

A quick search (link in the top right corner - type in "wisdom") yielded two threads where the creator of the plugin spoke on the subject. You can read them (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum61/HTML/001159.html")here(/url) and (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum61/HTML/001274.html")here(/url).
Wisdom will only be valuable to a conjurer (others cannot even sell it because no merchant carries this rare item) and since your magic points already increase with each level-up, it does have immediate effect on the level-up increase. Wearing Croyam's Crown also increases wisdom by five points, so make sure you are wearing it at level-up time.
My level 26 conjurer has 433 magic points from drinking Elixirs of Wisdom plus the normal level-up schedule and wearing the crown.
Another fact about EoWs (elixirs of wisdom): You have to be pretty powerful to get them. Sometimes there is one which is dropped by the head bandit in Fayleese's lab, but other than they are dropped only by sea giants. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you can get one by casting Pandora's Box, but then again, they are very rare, and sea giant don't even drop them often.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Have the flu and am just sitting and killing Sea Giants.
But .... all that killing has gotten me up to level 26. At lv. 25 with Croyam's Crown I had 377 magic points. Now I've got 449. I've also got some ring ... angel of light or some such. Can't remember what that does.
Soon I'll be off to Awaken the Guardian ... again. Yet still I have questions.
I've got a "mysterious vial" and I can't figure out what it does or where to use it. The message is just a bit too cryptic for me.
Last, but not least, I'd like to play DiD again as my current conjuror character ... complete with all accouterment if possible. Can I do it and which plug-ins should I have active?
Thanks again for all your help, RD. The links were appreciated, and I'm sooooo glad you pushed me to keep trying to find that Staff of Lordship!
Big hugs on ya, P.
The red-stained vial increases or decreases strength by 2, and the blue-vial increases or decreases dexterity by 2. Unless you're talking about the one in World of Chaos...

You found the "mysterious vial" in a cave on Rock Island (WoC). Keep it for now, you will need it later. (Don't tell anyone this, but it is 30 seconds of protection against fire.)
The Angelic Ring of Light (WoC) adds five more Wisdom points as well as boosting all other stats.
To play DiD again, make sure you keep Trinity, SE, and WoC active while you open your character without DiD plugin checked. Then save and quit. Now re-open with all your favorites checked. (Trinity, SE, WoC, and DiD) It will be as if you are just starting Damsels with a couple of exceptions. PoG will "remember" the new DiD maps since you have been there before, and the toadstools will not grow back on the DiD maps but will grow again on the PoG maps. You'll have to work a little harder to get your quota to satisfy the Hag of Hartsford. Don't worry, there are enough of them.
Have fun. BTW, there are four spells available from WoC. I think you probably didn't find them all. <insert cryptic grin here> ~RD
Two of the spells aren't obtainable without haveing the Relocate spell. Oops, did just give away something that supposed to be kept secret? Stupid me.

Yup - WoC is the one I'm talkin' about.
So I gather those stained vials are "iffy" ... rather like Pandora's Box.
Thanks LK!

---------------- Sure wish I could figure out how to qoute and unquote, but I'll use these dashes in the interim.
Got the fact that I had some protection against fire. I just can't figure out where. Thought that volcano on Rock Island might have something to do with it, but I can't seem to finda a way in.
Tried to find a spot to use it in the Guardian's lava pits, but no luck there either. I suppose I'm missing something just as obvious as the way to Rock Island.
Hopefully, there is a Beatitude ... Blessed are the dumb for they shall be guided by others???
--------------------
------------------ It's very cool. Sorry I forgot to mention that I was playing WoC too. ------------------
-----------------
Alright! Way to go Ducky!
Actually, I think the toadstools will be easier to find this time because I know not to play around with any of them. Or has my mound of harvested forest mushrooms interfered with that?
Ah well, I guess I'll find out sooner or later.
------------------
I know I'm missing at least one.
Now, if you could just give me a hint as to where I should begin to look for a place to use that vile vial .........
Duck Ducky! More big hugs comin' atcha! P.

Is the Relocate Spell the same as the Recall Spell? I think that's what it was called. Head is fuzzy, mind is blurry, but at least with the flu I now have an excuse.
Must go back and check my spells book.
RELOCATE. One of the choices offered by Fayleese in return for cleaning out his lab. Which one did you choose? If you chose Relocate, then you made the RIGHT choice. There is a (secret) way to obtain both spells IF you chose Relocate. If you want to know what it is, post back and I'll email you the secret.
And about the volcano on rock island: You're on the right track. Keep trying. HINT: Relocate.
Originally posted by LifeKnight: **If you want to know what it is, post back and I'll email you the secret. **
Well that isn't very cryptic..
Not for her, but this will remain a secret to everybody else...

Apparently I did chose Relocate. I just don't know how to use it.
Don't e-mail me just quite yet ... lemme try some more tomorrow.
But I thankee much ... and will post if/when I'm frazzled.
Whe I said "both spells" I didn't mean the spells on Rock Island (which you need Relocate to get). I meant, if you chose Relocate, then you can obtain both Portal AND Relocate. This is a pretty well kept secret on how to do this, but see if you can figure it out. It involes "stealing" the Portal spell...but it is pretty tricky to do, unless you...oops, I've gone too far. But see if you can figure it out.
