Point defence beams are way to powerful unless you give it a burst reload. They never miss. Ever. But cheapness is good. 😄

Anyways, I am well aware of this. However, I think ATMOS (although it's really just Dave at this point) is smart enough to make them start sideways. They'd have to be symmetrical to look right, but meh. Still cool.

I think the Polaris developing a point-defense BRL would feel right at home in Nova...

Actually, it wouldn't be too much work to implement an open source scripting language like Lua.

Remember this about PD beams (as I told in the wëap annotated template):
-beams are instantaneous, which means the main reason a PD weapon can miss (as the missile is usually a fast target) is that the target moved in the meantime, does not apply.
-this guidance ignores (Lord knows why) inaccuracy. They never miss, I tell ya!

That's the same reason I recommand them for cheats, especially debug cheats. 😉
