I've saved two princesses, the last one in Perugo forest but, that hasn't helped my ability to kill the final two trolls in Troll Central. I have a sword tip which reads "Bla" and a shank that says "de diabolus", also a Pommel stone. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks. By the way, I'm at experience level 24 and all of my strength, vitality stats are around 30.

If you are a conjuror or a ranger, try using the skills of your class. RD used a ranger throwing the slowing powder(can't remember what it was called  ) or people have used the Great Bow of Vyro to get rid of them. If you're a conjuror, Spells Expander is a great help, though you could probably find a way with the standard spells to do it. For a swordsman...well...get the best armor and best weapon and fight them one at a time. A huge amount of dexterity probably wouldn't hurt either. I don't really know about doing it with a swordsman though, I've never tried, and these are fairly general tips.
And yes, you are missing two sword pieces

Well, I'm not playing with any plugs. Do the missing sword tips have anything to do with my killing the last trolls? I only ask because, earlier you recommended that someone save the princess in Perugo before going to Troll Central. Is one of the tips around there? Thanks again.
If you have rescued two princesses, you have to find a 'friendly' troll in 'Troll Sentril' who will tell you about his mother. You have to go see her. You are trying to take out the last two troll guards before you know why they are there.

You posted at the same moment I did. Read the reply above yours. ~RD
Thanks, do I have to kill the trolls before I find the friendly one? I only ask because it's going to take hours and I only want to do it once.

No, you don't. But you do have to find Ratznest and have a chat with him before you can find the friendly troll.

For some reason, I find many things are disabled in Troll Central. I'll expect the magical portion of the Staff of Lordship, but my healing spells (only ones I tried) did nothing, and also, when I tried to drink a (normal) healing potion, nothing happened until I fell through the trapdoor. Then I believe I was healed automatically.
Hmm.. I have lots of money, let's buy some good potions and increase my strengh/other stats.
I only have one piece, the shank. I guess I have three to go.
If you have a spell set to a timer, and it goes into a disabled area, will the timer resume when you leave?

Yes. Items or spells which rely on timers will react differently in maps which are not part of the original PoG set or specifically set up for that timer. If you activate a spell with a timer the timer will not start ticking until you get on PoG soil.
Normal healing potions should work in 'Troll Sentril' as should healing spells, but what won't work is Croyam's Crown or the plugin Regenify. I don't know why you had a problem with healing - they all work for me.

I don't know about the healing spells not working, as far as I remember they worked for me. I think healing potions just use the normal PoG timer, nothing special, so they should work on any map. As for the SoL, I don't think it needs anything special either, so it shhould work fine too.

Actually, if you count, suydam said he had three pieces, so you really have four to go
I think it will, but I'm not entirely sure. Try csating Moki and heading to rock island or something.

It worked when I tried again. Hah.. killed the guardians by casting moki and shock sphere-ing them. Now I have all but one piece of the sword.. grr.. can't find 'marshy' area..
What does Croyam's Crown do?? I've put it on-- it says it helps wisdom but when I leveluped I always got 1 new spell, even with the crown.
And the spells work now. Timered spells will wear off if you walk around in the wilderness for a while.

Wisdom is a "hidden" statistic (not shown anywhere in the game) that governs how many magic points you gain when you level up, not how many spells you can choose. That's always only one. The crown will also slowly regenerate your magic points if you are in an area from normal PoG, Trinity, or Spells Expander.

Oh, okay. I misread the thread that talked about wisdom. Thanks!

Where did you go to rescue princess Jadyn? The handle is in that map.
------------------ I didn't know what to put here, so I just put this down.

That's confusing, because you rescue her in one square and deliver her home in another. Besides, he posted that about a week ago and probably has it by now.

I got it, yes.. I went there first, and even went to the place where the piece was, and I managed NOT to find it! I've been in that area several times and missed it all those times (until I finally scoured the map and who-hoo! It magically appeared)
The handle is hard to find. I scoured the map several times before I found it (of course I also thought that somehow I was missing an access to a black area in the map and that it was there, so I might have concentrated my search there more than I should have)
Informative enough but doesn't quite touch my problem. I have a speed of 12 and still can't get past the trap door fast enough after Jimmy resets it. Am I missing something or have I hit a gltch?

Hi ltuell. Welcome to the boards. If Jimmy said he would de-activate the trap door for you, then you will be able to walk into Ratznest's closet even with a speed of 8 if that is the current quest. You won't be able to walk there without his setting the switch no matter how fast you go.
I have to assume that you are trying this at the right time with version 1.1 of (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl/damsels.sit?path=pog/addons&file;=damselsV1.1.sit")Damsels in Distress(/url)
Once you have gotten into the closet, I'm afraid you are in for a fall on the way out. Watch out for Ratznest's guards - they are a couple of brutes.
If you still have trouble with the trap door, please post back with more details of what you are doing and when. Good luck. ~RD
I have all the pieces of the sword except the one that the hag says Ratsnest has (The Hilt - which I have had glimpses of as I fell through the trap). Jimmy said he deactivated the trap and I make sure the way is clear by killing all the trolls that can get in the way but I allways fall through.
