It is NOT an april fools joke. It really did happen and I am sending you an e-mail explaining what I could do many times. PS Is the vial's effect suposed to wear off?
Hi all... been looking here for ANY hints on this "last" tome... I cannot figure out how to get the blazing inferno! Am I blind?? I assume it has something to do with the vial, and volcano... but am stumped. Any clues would be appreciated (not spelling it out, of course, for others not wanting a spoiled quest) Thanks!

For the tome of Blazing Inferno, the answer is yes. It is dependant on having a particular spell. There is another tome, however, which does require that the player have this particular spell which was available from Fayleese. If one made the "wrong" choice that tome is still available but harder to get now. It would involve some trial and error and a lot of luck. Is that cryptic enough? I did it! 4 spells and a free gift. The last one took some searching but the clue tells you where to look. I love puzzles. I'm sure glad I took notes in my journal.
