A rediculous idea?

We could make a system for graphics where you just submit your models in a standard form. Then the permanet graphics people will adjust the model a bit if they like then make several versions of the ship. That way the graphics people just have to adjust the models and the submiter will submit 1 ship and the ships will look alike. For the missions, we could have a person or group do just a mission string. The administrator could add links in there. Everything else could be done by a single person. If not, you could split the jobs for dfferent races. I would like to join if it gets started.

The gunship is going good, no changes yet though. But I've figured out what I'll do with it. I think I'll just make it look more bulky and armoured, then make those little engine struts look like good honest clunky bastards...

A neat idea, however such large projects are just as prone to failure. Why?
When you make the project large, and depend on multiple people to make your resources, when those people pull out they leave a whole. And there is more chance of people pulling out when the project is large. And when someone leaves it kinda triggers this cycle where one after another everyone leaves the project.
