Plug-In Help

So far up to this point in editing EVN, i have been going right into the data in a duplictated EVN and editing that for practice. But now i want to really start making a plug now that i got the hang of it. But when i make a plug, instead of having the normal Plug-In icon...it turns into a res-edit icon. Does this matter? Or do i need to convert it somehow?

Nice to see that you''ve got the hang of it. 🙂

An easy way to convert the resedit files is (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl/NovaFileChanger.sit.hqx?path=evn/utilities&file;=NovaFileChanger.sit.hqx")Nova File Changer(/url)

Try that if it doesn't work post and I will explain.

Under File, Get Info on the file that you're working on (the ResEdit file) and do the same on an EVN Plugin. Check the Type and Creator codes, as that's how the computer knows if it's a ResEdit or EVN document. Just replace your file's codes with the EVN plugin's codes and you're good to go.

However, I should point out that you really should just leave your plugin as a ResEdit file unless you're wanting to test something in it, as it's easier (in my opinion) to just double-click the file than opening it manually.

I've just put my important files(nova data files , plugins , etc...) in the "Open special" menu in resedit also very easy!
