Ok. I have installed ResEdit and NovaTools (twice) and I can edit all resources but the s˙st and spöb resources. Whenever I open the Resource Editor, it comes up in hex, not in NovaTools. What's wrong and how can I change this problem?

that's funny, i had that same problem the first couple times i used resedit with nova tools. i think all i did was restart or force quit classic or something. what haven't you tried? start there.

hence try merely restarting? or quiting it and then opening it again, perhaps mulitple times? have you? otherwise, i guess i can't be of much help, so best of luck.
This has been reported to happen before. I think your download of NovaTools may have been corrupted. Try re-downloading NovaTools.

I have redownloaded NovaTools and ResEdit....twice! Arg!!!!
Try to completly remove resedit (including preference file !!!) from your HD. And also novatools. Then re-install the whole thing.

try re-copying the prefs to resedit from Nova Tools, that worked for me when I had the same problem.

Ok...but for some reason, ResEdit always crashes when I copy the prefs. from NovaTools into the ResEdit prefs.
Huh... I'm Stumpered. Keep restarting and re-downloading and re-copying until it sticks is all I can say.
