I have this program on one of my MacAddict disks and was wondering what you guys think about it, how does it compare to Strata 3Dbase 3.0.2?

Some percentage of those who try Amapi become hooked, become very active and vocal about their belief in the program. Many others try it, and after realizing the manual and half the interface is in French, the program buggy and crash-prone, and the operations anything but logical, give up and look for something easier to learn.

For a free copy of 4.13, minus some preset objects and materials, Eovia is offering same thru (url="http://"http://bakhter.com/html/main/amapi4.html")http://bakhter.com/h...ain/amapi4.html(/url) ...not warez, folks, that's a legit download... I'd recommend going there right now and giving the softwear a spin...even us detractors admit it gets much less buggy with the later versions.
Last word. I've got 5.1 and haven't managed to get anything out of it yet. I'm exploring my new Carrara Studio 2 instead.

Interesting i just downloaded Amapi 4.15, the interphase is terrable compared to that of strata. Maybe it might be a great modeler.. but i have yet to see about that.

Oh, my impression of it from spending a day or two struggling with version 3 was, well.... a unicycle with a motorbike engine. What power, what speed...if you could just keep it upright!
