Graphics Developers; your Hudson needs YOU!

uh, Deadboy, while Lightwave has spline support it is really, really primative. It only supports natural splines. C4D on the other hand supports Natural, Akima, B, Beta and a couple more.

For a spline editor I would go with Cinema 4D XL R7. It has real time modeling (like everything else), plus its NURBS lathe/extrude/loft etc is competely editable at a later stage, in real time.

As for the interface - it is confusing at first but when you're used to it you have no problems. Just like Lightwave.

Damn, forgot about those spline patches. Well, again, my experience with LW is much poor then yours as I said before. Still as blackhole said the spline editing in LW is kind of different with usual spline modelers, and that was probably another reason why I had forgot about them. But basicaly you were right and I wasn't 🙂

how do splines in most apps work? i might have to download the Cinema 4D demo again, and see how it works in that... unless the demo wont let me try that, in which case it royally sucks ass, and i will never buy their products...

The C4D demo is fully functional except that you cant save or export renders. All the fetures work as they o in the full version. I really like the product.
