Myself, CrazyChipmunk, Capt Editor, Draco (2488), diddlysquat, and Platypus have formed a group of developers and named ourselves the Daedalus Developers, and I and CrazyChipmunk have set up an EzBoard (yes, not the best choice, but our first choice costed $250. Ok.. so we are online and now we are going to really pick up our first project, Escape Velocity: Free Enterprise. This project will be headeed by myself, CrazyChipmunk. The message boards are all completely up and online. I have configured them with neat graphics. So.... May the aeon begin!

There has always been groups of people trying to start a 'company' or the like to produce plugs. The latest, Aeon, was a total flop and it had made the most progress out of all such endeavours. If you'll notice, all TCs that have been released so far have had only one or two people behind them and maybe a couple others that helped with graphics and testing (Frozen Heart and it's sequels, F-25, etc...). All prior groups have announced themselves exactly as you have, a big splash at the beginning with some real work actually being done but after a while they just fade away. This has been going on even ever since EV was released, though not so often (bigger engine = bigger ambitions). Having said all that, you may very well complete your plugs (or whatever you intend to do) so take heart and give it your best shot.
Oh.. I thought he meant the word aeon... "aeon" means era, which is defined to be a period of time marked by a significant presence....

you're sure right! Aeon actually did get some stuff done, but not much. it was a great idea, but just doesent work. and i dont think it ever will work... sorry to sound negative, guys... but the odds are against you.
Be positive, at least they're trying. Maybe you should show us some of your oh-so-great-better-than-you graphics that you make.
Anyway, good luck guys. As an aside, does anyone know of a TC that is still running after 2 years other than What If? (my plugin).

Perhaps now would be a good time to end this. I have made my point. Lets end this before we get in trouble for flame wars.... As outlined in the ASW Board Guidelines.
This is probably fanning the flames which is a very bad thing, but I want to make a small point. Corsair Developers was the last to try, and at the moment Dreden War is starting alpha1. That's progress. And Dreden War will most definitely be finished, we haven't quit yet!
But that's just a small point. This topic probably should be locked because of its excessive flaming. Sorry for posting that small point.
