Ralph and Roger of (url="http://"http://www.sutherland-studios.com.au/family/evo_software.html")R&R; Software(/url) are hard at work on the EV Nova editors. I've managed to sneak two screenshots from some of the tools they are working on.
These are ResEdit add-ons that allow you to edit some of the resources in the EV Nova data files using a new GUI instead of editing hex codes in ResEdit template fields.
Thank the Aussies for checkbox arrays; no more hex math! | A yes, the cron resource -- timed events in the EV Nova universe... ---|---
Of course, they are working on updates of many other tools, including MissionControl and ShipWrite... hopefully I'll be able to slink away with some screenshots from them soon, too!

Thanks,
I'm on holiday from tomorrow afternoon, so I can really concentrate on the new EVN ShipWrite and Mission Control (and Weapon Smith). I've also still got feedback on the EVO editors and they won't be forgotten. Look for some more of the EVO ResEdit style plugin editors in the new year - they are turing out to be a great solution for the simpler resources where a full-blown application is not really justified.
Cheers Ralph

I think you should get together with Pontus and build Shipwrite, Mission Control and Dev Map into one big programme. Call it EV Suite or something like that...

Sweeeeet!
Nova has got to be the all time fantasy of any person who has played EV and said: "Oh, I wish I could..."
Does anyone know the approx. size the eventual package will be (in Megs, that is). Because I'll probably end up downloading it if I don't get off my arse and get a MacAdd**t Mag.
They've listed all the Ambrosia software in their CD's and they introduced me to the great EV, so I guess they'll probably have Nova on their lists.

I couldn't agree more! Create Velocity

ps. MajorDomo, i heard an estimate of 40 megs flying around the boards somewhere, but this is NOT an official ambrosia estimate so take it with a truckload of salt...
Can't wait to get it... I think that says all I want to.

Yeah, that's how I found out about EV too.
These editors are Ambrosia-approved programs (i.e. unlike EV-Edit), right? That would be much much better than something being done indepently.

Ambrosia's uning them to make Nova! They're great!
I also got EVO on Macaddict CD. Then I downloaded EV and played it too. Ambrosia's great.
Hail EV Suite!
