Me thinks Mikee is avoiding copyright issues or just doesn't like EV.

Override's 3D Models were released, so Mikee couldn't be avoiding copyright issues.

What about the story lines, descriptions an text?

Well, if it was freeware, Ambrosia would probably let him distribute it. It's not like he would be making money off of it.
You never know, andrew doesn't seem to like Mikee.

Wrong. The models were released, but we (and Peter) retain the copyright on them -- please read the text files that accompany them closely.

So... you released them, but people can't use them?

I never downloaded them. Never had a reason to (I suck at graphics).
they probably released them so that people could see how they made them.

People can use them, but with restrictions, and they are still copyrighted.
Why not download them and actually read what we say in the release notes rather than speculating?

Why not put the release notes on the internet?

Andrew: Would you be opposed to Soviet mikee, or anyone else for that matter, using the models for an EV3D?
I don't see the point. Any 3D game, even BASED on EV, wouldn't be EV, or anything LIKE EV. EV is a 2D game, and an amazingly excellent 2D game. I think you would be better off concentrating on EVArena or another EVMP and have some REAL fun.

Who cares if Mikee's 3DMPEV is EXACTLY like EV Override. It doesn't need to be; it just has to have the same concept (Ambrosia doesn't have a patent on THAT, I assume).
On whether or not he's working on it, I'm in the middle of developing a game that (I'll admit it) borrows more than a few ideas from EV/EVO. It's taken me 2 years so far (and my game is 2D), so even though it's been 4 years on Mikee's end, I wouldn't give up all my hope yet.
Chances are, as any game programmer can attest, he's probably stopped up by some horribly obstinate, hair-wrenching bug that's sucking the life out of him.
