When I had an unregistered version of EVO, the Ambrosia ships started attacking me, but now I've registered. The other day I was zooming around when my favourite ship, the "Disco Bison" attacked me!!! In case you don't know, the "Disco Bison" is an Emalgha cruiser, and it is generated by EVO, so it has no affiliations, at least I don't think so. I'm just wondering why it attacked me, all it has is the Mirana defence system, but still, its the thought that counts.

It attacked you using....the Miranu Defence System?? Normally, the Disco Bison only fights when attacked and uses the dreaded "Disco Machine Gun."

Yeap, you're right. Whenever I fight him, he fires his rapid-destruction long range Emalgha machine gun cannon. Now why the Disco Bison attacked with a Miranu Defense System? I have no clue...

The Disco Bison holds a grudge, I believe.... so, if you've attacked him in the past, he'll attack you every time he sees you.
Now, about the defense system... do you mean SAE's? The Bison is armed with a bunch of the little red igadzra search-and-whatever modules.

Yeah, if you attacked the Bison before, he will attack you when he sees you agian. It's happend to me.
I never attacked the Disco Bison, it's my favourite ship! I've never seen the Miranu Defence System, but I think that's what it used. It kept trying to get close to me and it was releasing these flashing red and green things that looked kinda like SAD Modules, but they were spewing out in all directions, and in groups of about 5 or 6. They didn't seek me out like SAD's they just spun around. I think it was the Miranu Def. Sys. because a weapon of that behaviour seems to be a good defence against swarming fighters, I could be wrong. Also, the Disco Bison never faced me, he always moved towards me, then did a 180 turn and started releasing his whatevers at me. Another thing, I have no plugs for EVO, I just got the game, and I want to explore before I add more stuff, I also don't want to cheat!

Yes, the same goes for Escape Velocity. Once I shot at Matt Burch (I've had a grudge against his kestral ) and left the system, and now everytime I see him, all I get is six enhanced lightning fighters and firepower. I guess you could say that if you want to be left alone, don't shoot at Ambrosia ships. In Override, I usually like to shoot at Ambrosia ships because they carry plenty of credits.

Those weren't Miranu Defence orbs, they were Igadzra SAE modules. Disco Bison usually fires those out while using his now infamous "Disco Machine Gun." Miranu Defence orbs look like tiny neon green orbs that simply drop out of a ship and don't move much. They deal some pretty significant damage, so watch out.

Yeah, all Ambrosia ships hold grudes if you attack them. I attacked Matt Bruch once in his Turncoat, thinking it would be an easy kill. The next thing I know 6 Kraits are swarming me with his Blaze Turrets now far behind. Now everytime I see him, he gives me a friendly welcome.

SAEs are an Izdgari version of the SAD. They are much more dangerous, and have improved accuracy. I know SAD stands for "Seek and Destroy," but I'm not sure what SAE means. Probably "Seek and Explode?"

In Override, there are many ships that are known as "përs" resources. If you want, you can download my upcoming plug-in that adds an extra fourty ships with names. These ships are just ships with names that are there to add color to the game. Some though, have a purpose. Like the Dreadnaught Prototype, it is just a përs resource with the name Dreadnaught Prototype, a ship class of Dreadnaught, and some missing weapons. The Disco Bison is just a ship that was added just because. If you attack it it will fight back, if you destroy it it will launch an escape pod and it will come back and attack you the next time it sees you. If you don't destroy it and just run, it will attack you every time it sees you again also. So don't attack the hard to beat ships unless you want to beat it everytime you meet it. Something that you might have done is accidently hit it with a missle while you were fighting or something. If so it might have ran, and now it has come back to kick your ass. Oh well, looks like your screwed. It will always appear and it will always shoot you. If you want, I can send you a patch that will make it stop carrying a grudge.

I've seen Andrew(and burch). Andrew's in a human heavy freighter, with (I think) no additional weapons, but plenty of shields/armor. He dosen't carry much money, either.

Andrew? Actually, he's very powerful. I like to attack him because I remember him carrying a large sum of money. However, he's tough because he carries a large number of Voinian neutron turrets. If you've every actually fought him, you'll find that Andrew Welch's freighter isn't as wimpy as it looks.
As for Matt Burch, he does fly a Turncoat in Override? If so, is it as powerful as his Kestral in Escape Velocity?

Not even. The most difficult human renegade in the game is the Nadir and MBurch's ship doesn't measure up. If I remember right, he has massive weapons but the same or close to the same shielding as a regular turncoat....a piece of cake in anything bigger than a destroyer.
