Some questions

Qaanol , Coyote has to ask: "Dreadnoughts are pretty cheap escorts..." compared to what?!? It'll be a while until I get a ship capable of going on some of the UE/FE missions into Voinian space. Although Coyote finally decided to get off of the fence and put his money on backing the Azdgari - both for professional reasons (I want those damn green "Humming Birds from Hel on my side and for aethestic reasons (forget about the names, I want to know who came up with the color schemes for the various Strands! Either color blind or had had one too many tokes of wacky tobaccy!). I thought about the Igadzras, but I have a serious problem about running around the Known Universe driving something that looks like an Oscar Myer WeenieMobile that was tarted up for Halloween! My old UE Fleet Marine Recon buds would point and snicker and I'd be kicked out of bars for fighting!

And speaking about my current mission for the Azds, can anyone give me a hint as to where to look for Garit? This is mission crit, but there's no red destination marker on the map.

Coyote thanks you.

Combat is like Wagner. It's loud, it lasts too long and you can only smoke and drink during intermissions.

Ha! I didn't even think about using them as a living wall! Those would never die from enemy fire.
As for the mission regarding Garit... I think he is where the whole strand starts, isn't he?

Well, actually, I think that Garit is a stellar rather than a person, but it is an idea for me to look into...

Some say that cats are sneaky, devious and cruel. True, and they have other fine qualities as well.

Here's a tip: North.

Um, exactly what is this mission about? I thought Garit was the guy you meet at the beginning....

This is the second phase of the Azdgara mission string: Having salvaged cargo from a delerect Arada in the Racit System, delivered it to Outpost Raj and been directed to Muid, Coyote now has the mission of leading a "squadron" of young Azdgar Kadet student pilots to "Garit". By context, I have to believe that Garit is a stellar/planet, rather than a person.

Ah! Now I recall! Yes, Garit is a system, close to the alien renegades. Just travel up along the edge of the crescent, starting where you recieved the mission, and you should arrive there safely(You will have to pass through renegade and Zidigar territory, however).

This was the beginning of the Azdgari mission string. Started on South Tip Station and wound up on Muid, where Coyote was told to take a squadron of Azdgari cadet pilots to Garit and return. Coyote had to bail out on that one, but later - after running some missions for the Zachits - I discovered that Garit is in the Raigar system in the far NW, not too far from Dewe and North Tip Station. Currently, Coyote is trying to figure out how to "cripple" the asteroid in the Calb system without making it go BOOM!

Cats don't want to own people. They prefer to lease with an option.

The Strange Asteroid mission? If you abort the mission and succeed in capturing it, the results can be very amusing.....

" amusing ," eh? Since everytime I try to disable it, it blows up, then ... Ah, Coyote thinks he sees your meaning! Jump in, abort the mission and then try to board and capture it. Indeed... Since Coyote always backs up his pilot file before trying something new, methinks I'll try that the next time around. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah. This amazingly cool thing happens. It is like, AMAZING!

What exactly is it you are attacking the thing with that it blows up so quickly?

Use it as an escort. Heck, use it for your own ship and check out your stats.

Coyote is currently driving a Lazira with phase turrets/and a swivel phase cannon. I jump in, head away from the target and tell my wolf pack to "stay." Then I go back and blip the target with short bursts from my phasers while watching for the target bracket to turn grey and the "disabled" marker to pop up. Hasn't happend yet. Coyote also has SADs and Pursuit Rockets, but I'm wary about trying them.

Any advice would be welcome! Coyote has a lot of discussion threads archived from the old Ambrosia site on AOL (c. late '90s), but nothing about the "Strange Asteroid".

Hmm, I never tried that.

Glad you found Garit!

For the Strange Asteroid mission I was in a Laizra also. Seems I had to sell some weaps, so I had just the minimum, maybe just used one phase canon. Took my a few tries I know that. I might have used a tractor beam on it, also.
