Lit Nerd will attempt to translate:
(translation)Greetings to one and all. I have a problem, but I am unsure if it is just me or not. I downloaded the Greenleaf First Release plugin, but it was only a text file. I do not thinkl it is just me, as I downloaded one of Coraxus' plugins, and it worked perfectly. Tangentially, I contend that plugins are rather like buses in London: There are none around for a long time, then there is a plethoric amount thereof.(/translation)
I, Lit Nerd, wish to point out that I too attempted to download the file. The following is the first line: ˘nČĚřżX>}Kqđh(#˙ßÖ82ň31@3Y)Ů:/&X;1m8ĆÄ(fVˇpXIC§ Ţ>Ô#y`ŞÉvéXÚ6pWÜúYfü!s$.

What I think he said was that he had dyslexia, or however you spell it. So it's not all his fault. I am pretty sure that's what he said. Gerry, do you have a program on your computer that does spell checking? Like word, Appleworks, or even an email writing program that lets you spellcheck your emails, like AOL? Try typing your posts in that, spell check it, then copy and post it. I don't know if it would help much, but you could try it and see. Edit: You would think I would know how to spell a little better.

Bull****. EVula and I have both seen numerous people with dyslexia post on these forums and the boards before them. Five or six years ago I would've accepted that as a valid excuse for poor spelling, horrible grammar, and other such things. Now I don't because I've seen people just put their minds to it, use a spellcheck, and not make mistakes through force of will.
You can't choose not to be dyslexic but you most certainly can choose not to let it have a negative impact on how you deal with others.

Honest to God, Gerry is not the only one to have seen the hexies, I too saw that. Most importantly, the plug-in before Cold Fusion came out I think, "Colors in the Space" did just exactly the same thing.
This is the kind of thing I was talking about in the topic I posted called "Organizing Plug-ins in the Addons Page".
If any of you guys also see these hexedecimals too, then you must wonder how the heck they managed to pass inspection and get uploaded on the page.

so it was not just me, as for a spellchecker i do not have one i spell the word's as i say them (with a lisp) if mod's don't like, then that is ther problem
Originally posted by Gerry: **so it was not just me, as for a spellchecker i do not have one i spell the word's as i say them (with a lisp) if mod's don't like, then that is ther problem **
My, you certainly sound awfully belligerant. Actually it's your problem being forced onto the rest of us due to your choice not to do something about it. Spellcheckers can be found in things such as Word or AppleWorks and there are even some plug-ins for web browsers which enable spellchecking in text fields (such as where you type your posts).
In addition to my second sentence above: It's your problem and subsequently our problem. People can't help your or reply to you if they have no clue what you're saying and your poor grammar could quite possibly cause people to misconstrue what you're saying into an insult (I've seen it happen on here before) which would cause you to get into a flame war or result in a karma modification (down) just because people can't understand you. You have a choice in this matter though. I hope that in the long-term, for both these forums and your life, that you make the correct one and choose not to let a paltry thing such as dyslexia dominate you.
Dyslexia is not paltry. My 80-year-old grandma is dyslexic and hence incapable of communicating through any kind of text. She reverses things in speech, and ends up sounding like Yoda sometimes. She can't help it.
Anyway, anybody think about the fact that maybe Gerry is using a second language? I got into a bit of a fight with another guy who spoke french, and everyone kindly explained to me that it was not really his fault and I should go easier on him. So maybe Gerry's from some other non-english-speaking country too...

About your first point... look at Hudson. 'nuff said.
About your second... look at HomeWear. 'nuff said.
I don't see either of those points to stop anybody who wants to be taken seriously on these boards from speaking properly.
(EDIT) Look up HomeWear if you don't know who he is. Basically he is a Norwegian, who is ****ing annoying, but isn't bad at spelling and grammar. ------------------ forge on the Nova Forum : forge: "That's a great idea. Can't believe I'm actually taking the time to reply to you. Don't think this is going to be a common occurence.

Dyslexia wasn't as understood when she was growing up and more than likely she wasn't diagnosed with it until it was very late in the game to help her with it. She has a valid reason for her dyslexia giving her troubles since she didn't have the tools and help available to her to learn how to deal with the disorder. Unless I see this guy saying "Hey, I'm 80 years old too!" I'm going to assume he's similar to the majority of the grammatically inept people around here and shoot for something in the 13 to 17 age range.
**Anyway, anybody think about the fact that maybe Gerry is using a second language? Then you have a perfectly valid reason and I was under an incorrect assumption. Oops, my bad.
And my name is forge, not Forge.

On a similar note...
To any of those people in the 13-17 age group (or thereabouts) reading this that CHOOSE to type like Gerry is forced to by a medical condition: Think about it.
