Voinian misson

I tried starting the Voinian mission string a while back, but after the mission that lets you buy interceptors, heavy fighters, and supply ships once you complete it, I got stuck and couldn't find the next mission. I took delivery missions all over Voinian space and onto Pax, but I still couldn't find it. Something I did made the Voinians mad so I left and joined the Zidagar. Anyway, I am thinking of trying the Voinian mission string again with a new game. So I don't get stuck this time, does anybody know where the next mission is?

Shayborg is working on that. 3 planets you have to check-Pax for the first two missions, then the outpost one jump west and a jump south from Pax. For the other missions, try Denlon.

Thanx I'll try that.

The next mission is Raid Outpost Alpha. Its the fourth mission. Avaible from Vorik, it has you fighting tough ships: UE Carrier and Destroyer. After doing it, you can buy Frigates. I suggest you get a Crescent Warship with max SADs, a extra Phase Turret, and all speed upgrades (you get enough space for all this if you sell the bay)

Edit- Oh, and you can make Voinians happy again by blowing up UE ships or making A LOT of deliveries if you can bribe their planets. How mad did they get?

I was in a bad mood and didn't want to fly some dumb mission all the way across Voinian space, which seemed to be the only kind I could get, so I was accepting missions and then aborting them because after you abort the mission listings change. It doesn't seem to bother anyone else, but after three times the Voinians all hated me. I left without a mission because I didn't think that would make them mad at me, and they wouldn't except bribes so I ran away. 😉 I was able to get back on the UE side by taking the Emalghia mission, which was still available because I hadn't done anything against them yet.

OK now I'm confused, I got the Raid Outpost Alpha mission at Svass........

Anywhere.

Ok Thanx, but now I'm stuck on the next mission. My most recent mission was the one that earned you the right to but frigates, Raid Outpost Alpha, the one I was talking about before. That was the 4th(?) in the string, but where do you get the next mission?

I believe you might want to try going to Denlon in the northern portion of the Voinian region of space. I think that's where the missions pick up at.

Pooty is right. The next mission is available at Denlon, in the Fridion system in the northwest of Voinian space. After that short little string (two or three mission IIRC), you get the missions to attack the UE. Remember, though, between each substring of the Voinian mission string, you'll have to raise your combat rating a significant amount. I think that might be your problem.

Just wondering, but exactly how silly did you feel typing that name in? 🙂

Do you know what the combat rating is that you must have to get the missions at Devlon? Mine is excellent, and I'd assume that that is high enough.

In any case, at least I don't have to type it every time I want to post. 😛

You need a Dangerous combat rating (the one above Excellent) for the missions at Denlon, and a Deadly combat rating for the UE offensive.

I guess I won't get that just by doing deliveries, eh? 😉

If you really want a lesson in losing all of your dignity, buy a supply ship. I did once- I don't know why.. And got pillaged over and over again by UE Fighters. You can get mega bucks, but at what price?

Actually, to boost your rating, you can go stick your nose into combat around Pax.. the UEs and Voinians will blow the crap out of each other than you can swoop in with your scoutship and deliver the "killer" shots..

... and then get smacked down whenever you go into a real battle. I'd rather earn my combat rating the hard way, thank you, unless I've already played enough that I know I deserve however high a combat rating I get by this cheapish trick. 🙂

I think Voinian missions hate me.

I'm looking for the mission after the one where you blow up Verril Prime. The Voinian says he has more plans but says they are to important for humans. That makes me wonder if the is a next mision, but I have not completed the central objective yet. Anyone know? My combat rating is Ultimate, so I know that isn't the problem.

Everyone has a photographic memory, just not everyone has film.

If you've destroyed the UE fleet in the system then you've complete the mission string. The Voinian missions aren't one of the central objectives of the game and the last bit you hear about that string is that the next plans are too important for humans.

There is a plug-in called Reign of the Voinians which continues the mission string. If you want to continue the string then that'd be your best bet.

OK thanx. One more question. I've heard you guys talk about Bronov or something like that, and I assumed that it was Voinian armour from your conversations. I thought I would be able to get it once I completed the Voinian mission string, but I can't. What is Bronov and how do I get it? 😕
