I thought it might be fun to see how many planets can be destroyed by a single pilot. Anyway that is the challenge. I think the most that can be taken out is about 10 or 11.
------------------ Why are there no maroon ships?
You mean captured? Because I've captured EVERY voinan planet and/or station.
I mean destroyed. For instance in the Voinian string you can destroy the settlement on Veril Prime. (Forgive the misspelling) One mission for the UE you can destry Pariah. Those are just a couple of examples.
Oh, I get it...(embarrssed) Well, from the UE-emaghla joint offensive mission Avann Outpost and the settelmant on Euikup were destroyed. That goood enough?
Yup that's what I mean. But there are a lot more planets and settlements to destroy.
I know I've destroyed a few more, but I forget which... I haven't played in a while
Hmm, I can think of plenty of more entertaining challenges...
I would guess the answer is about 6 or 7, perhaps stretching to 9 if you manage to do 2 Strand strings.

Why don't you tell us what those are?
By far the most interesting and successful challenge was the Crew of One.

2 more spöbs, providing you play the renegade missions. Gorky and Outpost Zachit. The Rock in the Zachit missions and Outpost Terapin in the Azdgari missions I think

Novitia, in the Igadzra string.
<edit>
And Garit, in the Azdgari string.

The ones I can think of right away are Veril Prime, Pariah, Yelts, Avann Outpost, Euikup, One of the Emalgha planets (can't remember the name), the rock, Station Zachit, Novitia, Duidir (I think that is the name). There are also a Liadon Station, gorky meantioned and before, garit and Outpost Terapin. So 14 if you do all the missions. I think I am missing one planet destroyed by the Igadzra though and an abandoned Azdgari base in the middle of the map. Anyway I think the most that can be taken out by a single pilot is actually about 14 or 15 if you do the Azdgari and Igadzra.
The emalghian planet is Kelmaon, and the azdgari's lies in Stror system
Anyways, interesting concept, but I don't think it can drag me back to evo

Out of curiosity, how many people here remember the original 'Crew of One' challenge, or would be interested in a remake of it?
I am interested in a remake.

Cool. if there's more interest, I'll post the topic.

Yeah, I am a veteran of the original COO challenge. Sadly, I didn't manage to complete all three central objectives, perhaps because I insisted on using nothing but the humble Krait. When I was beaten by MartinNZ, who managed the whole sorry business in a Krait, I kind of gave up. I was tired of hearing that weep-weep-weep-kaboom noise, and I'd fired off more escape pods than missiles.
After you've been flying a Krait, the shuttle feels like a real Rolls-Royce! My God... it's got armour! It can survive two needle missile hits! It can carry cargo internally!
Heh. Anyway, I'm up for another crack at the challenge. Are you proposing some sort of new twist this time around?

Well, after you've been flying a freighter, the Krait feels like a real Rolls-Royce! My God... it's got weapons! It's fast! I could kill a frieghter with this thing!
------------------ I could kill any ship if I wanted to...

I'm up for that. I started it but never finished. I still have the old pilot file though so I could start up again, or just start from scratch. It is quite fun and quite a challenge, for sure.
