I've always had a hard time deciding which of these ships won the "worst fighter of Override" award, but I think the Krait wins. It might be named after a deadly asian snake, but that fighter is nothing more than a cardboard box armed with a pair of deringers. The Voinian Interceptor is also a bad fighter in comparison to the Krait, but its firepower certainly makes it the better choice to pilot.

Its gotta be the Krait, I think even the Shuttlecraft makes a better fighter. Well... maybe not the shuttlecraft, but Voinian Interceptors still carry a much heavier loadout of weaponry

True... The shuttlecraft doesn't make that bad of a fighter. Armed with three blaze cannons, an afterburner and a few other minor outfits, it can handle a Helian or a pair of Kraits with ease.
I'd have to agree that the Krait is the worst fighter of the game. The ship has no shielding or weapons whatsoever, however I did like my cheat krait that had a krait fighter bay
The krait is obviously th worst of the two. And probably the worst in the game. It's week and can be taken out in seconds.
It's not a fighter it's just a bug that flys aound annoying the hell out of you.

It does. I can take out a Krait in an unmodified one with ease.

Those of us who took part in the 'Crew of One' challenge can tell you: compared to the Krait, the shuttle is a real Rolls-Royce. It's got space for upgrades, and space for cargo. Also, it doesn't fireball as soon as it gets hit by one needle missile and one blaze shot. Jumping 'straight through' a system with renegades in it can kill you, in a Krait.

That sounds about right.
The Krait is definitely the worst fighter. It has eight shields and a few blaze cannons. A modified Shuttlecraft could probably take it out, as it only takes about ten blaze hits to destroy it.

The krait is definitely worse. At least the interceptor has rockets. The krait's got nothing going for it whatsoever.

The Krait's only good trait is that it's fast, and even that is bad compared to some Crescent ships.
At least the Interceptor might actually win a fight with a shuttle. :rolleyes:

Eight shields? Lets see here... That would mean the Defender of Escape Velocity has better shielding, and way better shield recharge. Never thought there was a fighter worse than that piece of junk.

Which brings up a good point. While Voinians fighter certainly won't hold up long against exposed fire, they can certainly provide a whallop in a short matter of time. If you are attacked by a group of Voinian fighters, you can be sure that you won't be leaving the battle with good shielding. Those rockets and neutrons hurt...

The Krait doesn't appear to have shield recharge at all. When it's damaged, it just stays at that percentage of shielding. Oh, and the Defender also costs twice as much as a Krait, but you wouldn't buy either one, so it doesn't really matter.

An unmodified Shuttlecraft can take it out. Easily.
Ok ok, what about that "Strange Asteroid" on Igadzra during the New Calcutta Mission string, its a shuttlecraft with no guns and no movement capabilites. I think the Krait might stand a chance against that...
that shuttle craft really made me so ******* mad it flew away when i hit with a neutron turret so i had to go back to paaren station and get rid of the turrets!
