What would you prefer? Losing the main one or winning the beginners? The judges put it in beginners category if it's not good enough, and I myself thought you'd be better off there, since you'd win. (You beat me! ;))
Also, the other categories were deleted due to lack of interest. I couldn't get my 2D image up in time, and there were only 2 ships in Space category, so having 2 different prizes would be just a tad stupid.

My computer is old and not very powerful (an old PM6400/200) so it is really difficult for me to make complex texturing or environmental and light effects. That's why my ships, while I think are good on the main design idea, lack a little bit of realism. I hope I had a new PowerMac G4!! Now it takes nearly 1 hour to render a full 640x480 image at millions of colours.
