What´s up with the mods here?

I don't see why anyone should ask to be a mod, whether or not they think they deserve it. andrew will decide who deserves to be a mod and appoint one if he needs a mod. And quite frankly, I don't despise anything a modeerator does unless it's uncalled for or stupid; I respect the mods and the fact that they keep our boards clean of spam and other trash. And I also was sad that Jude left, even though I didn't really know her much, I knew she was a good mod, and I found out (the hard way) that she's strict on profanity.

Why Jess would make an amazing mod. My answer: I'm amazingly wonderful, great and funny. I would breathe life into the board by editing all of SilverDragon's posts to say very embarrassing things. Everybodyelse's too, to a lesser extent.

If you actually did become a mod and did that then I'd complain to andrew, and some of us might predict what might happen afterwards (stripping of moderation powers). You stand no chance of becoming a mod anyway, since you (as SD said) flirt too much, for your own good. BTW, what's the ACTUAL nature of this topic? My question is how we got from why EVula and the other mods other than mikee don't post alot to asking for being moderator, what andrew would do, blah blah.

Exactly, if this topic becomes a "I deserve to be a mod" or "This person deserves to be a mod topic, I will close it. No good can come of it...

I'm not hearing much support here............... :frown:
Calm down ESPilot, I'm only kidding around. And may I add that my reputation as a flirt is entirely undeserved.

You deserve to be a mod. And that is just a joke. I think the moderators are doing a fine job here. Just enough closed threads to keep everything interesting.

We have karma powers everywhere, but can only delete/edit posts, move/close/delete topics, or do anything else moderatorly on our own boards.

To offer my thoughts on the subject, I think this board is managed fine. The current state of the moderatorship, if that's what you want to call it, needs no adjustments.

Whether joking or not, asking to be a moderator, or even suggesting the possibility, does nothing to improve your chances. Like andrew said on the new (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=61&SUBMIT;=Go")Pillars of Garendall web board(/url):

No one who asks to moderate it -- but rather people who are active, knowledgable, and interested.

Prove yourself in the first two categories, not just the third, and you might have a shot, when a moderator position opens up, that is.

<edit>And don't listen to mikee grumble, it's actually a very rewarding job 🙂 </edit>

Here is an interesting thought:

The pros of me:
-I (think) I'm mature and all that
-I try to look out for the underdog
-I dunno... help me out here!
The cons:
-I get pissed off easily sometimes but can usually be talked around.
-Stupid people give me the ****s.

Hmmmmm....

That was a frank appraisal of me by me.
