It isn't. Although it uses the same game engine, Override is a completely separate game from Escape Velocity, which happens to be set in an earlier time period. Override (set in the 22nd century) is no more a prequel to Escape Velocity (set in the 23rd century) than Star Wars (set a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away) is a prequel to Star Trek (set in the 23rd and 24th centuries),
