i think that the vonians are mean and their ships are ugly but if they weren't there the game would be missing a lot

How do you know the UE are smarter? The Voinians can build tons and tons of really big, really strong cruisers, while the UE have barely any Carriers and it takes them a while to create a cruiser.

Taylor- The UE only win because they are helped by the player... I think the focus of the debate shold be the galaxy before the player makes one side more powerful. And whoever said the UE are naive: that's a good point.

However, the UE ships are higher-tech than the Voinian ships. UE has guided weapons, fast and accurate blaze cannons, maneuverable fighters, and energy shields, whereas the Voinian ships and weapons are all slow, the weapons are all unguided, and they rely primarily on armor for defence. In addition, UE is willing to make friends with alien races, like the Miranu, Emalgha, and Hinwar, but the Voinians won't make friends with anyone.

Maybe the UE are just better at guided weapons and diplomacy, while the Voinians are better with big and powerful ships, and are made with a built-in xenophobic tendency.

Accurate blaze cannons? Blaze cannons are one of the least accurate turrets/guns anywhere! And the Voinians do have guided weapons! Neutron turrets and rocket turrets are guided. And Voinian Interceptors are not all that slow...

Very true, but the Voinians could sure use some more guided weapons. Maybe they could make an alliance with the Igadzra and put SAEs on their frigates and cruisers, and watch the UE ships drop like flies.

But how would they meet the Igazra? It's an inconvenient of the Voinian Empire : it is isolated, and have only the UE and Emalgha as "neighbours".
