This afternoon, I was messing around with EVO Edge, and I got a Azdari with 4 shield capacitors, 1 shield generator, and some vonian armor so its practically indestructible. Then I outfitted it with 40 SAE launchers and 900 SAE modules. Man, that's one hell of a fireworks show! I took out a crescent warship in about 3 seconds! Even better: get 50 mine launchers and 900 mines that'll take out a dreadnaught in a split second.

P.S.: smiley graphics are gay. I love my ASCIII smileys...
Cheater plug remove all fun from the game, you will be rapidely bored by crushing every ennemies in 2seconds very quickly, but if you want an advice, try the Azdara (or enhanced Azdara) ultra boosted and equiped with space mines, it gives a lot more fun... but only for a short time. STOP PLAYING WITH CHEATER PLUGS!!!
------------------
6 Escort Voinian Dreadnoughts + Your Dreadnought (with Crescent and krait bays) = 6 x 10 + 6 = 66 and your ship + 3 Crescent and 3 Kraits = 73
And thats possible without hack cheating... although its purpose would be to extort limits in EVO, which is sorta cheating...
I would like to know i why if you(Yoda) had the power to construct such a formidable fighting machine, why did you get an Azdari, not an Igazra or Voinian Cruiser?
It's to do with the shield recharge rates on the lil' green dragonfly. If hasn't got as much shielding as a warship, but it regenerates shields so fast that you can park right in front of a UE Cruiser and it will never get your shields down below 90% - and it's possible without cheating.
...and if you want to cheat, why bother with a crescent fighter bay? Do it in style and give yourself a dreadnought bay. In a shuttle.
------------------ I got this .sig file at insanely_great.com - don't even think about taunting me!
There nothing wrong with using cheating plugs and just screw around. It can be quite fun to kill that annoying disco bison that always kicks your ass. My favorite thing to do is equip a UE fighter with 100 mine launchers and 999 mines. You just fly towards the enemy fleet. Start launching mines. And make a U turn while still launching them. You get a giant arch of death. You can also get some nifty patterns with a bunch of rocket lauchers. ------------------ Remember that thou art dust and to dust thou shalt return. I don't see how you can justify using a cheat plug to kill the 'Bison, unless you write a special plug that makes the Bison appear for certain. You see, you'd be flying around in a heavily modified ship for maybe twenty-four hours before your paths crossed. Meanwhile, you'd be very bored because everything else you encountered would be vaporised.
Besides, killing the 'Bison the hard way is fun! Gives you a real sense of achievement. Yeah, killing the 'Bison is fun. Capturing him is insane.
Ok, my comment to this topic. CHEATING SUCKS. I hope this offends no one, if it does I'm sorry.
------------------ Arrrrrrr, matey!!!!
Cheaters do not stink. They are very good, especially when you get bored and want to have some fun.

Cheating is stupid.

The only time I 'cheat' is when I get bored as messieur Captain already said. I play the game a couple of times, (Say Diablo2) beat it 2-3 times, then for fun, NOT for achieving anything, I cheat... to find out new things.. I think newbies who cheat are dumb (No offence one more time)
Cheating is quite BORING. You get more of a thrill when you kill an enemy with a blaze turret than when you kill him/her with 700 mine launchers. The game just seems like a waste. For a while, I stopped using EVo 'cause all my pilots were dull- because I cheated.
------------------ I ask you to look both ways- for the road to the atom leads through the stars, and the road to the stars leads through the atom.
I think cheating is only good if you've already played the game a lot and are bored. Newbies shouldn't cheat.
P.S. Thanks Black Beard.
by the way, the Bison is easy to kill w/ an Igadzra and more SAE launchers, but u probably mean turrets.....
------------------ The difference in insantiy and ingenious is measured just by success.
You people need to lighten up a bit. You see the word cheat and go ape feces. Of course you only use cheats after playing the game for a while. It's only then that you can appreciate the power of what your doing. And why would you cheat with pilots you already have. Thats a waste. Yes I've beaten the disco bison without cheating. No I dont cheat only for that reason. And no I dont get any sense of achievement from a video game.

Me too. Now I just start a bunch of new pilots. I'm not that far yet, though. Rigt now I have a UE fighter and about 500,000 credits. I might try some paths that haven't tried before.(voinians & Renegades). Ok, it's too late for voinians with this pilot.
If you cheat, I really don't care. EV/O is not the kind of game I like to cheat on, but if you do, fine. However: using cheat plugs is despicable . Just spend a few minutes in ResEdit and you can do it yourself! Cheating ain't so high, but cheat plugs are the lowest of the low.

I agree, cheating is pathetic. Sure when you are six years old it's cool but after that it sucks.
Then again I hate cheating so much I use strict play every time.
------------------ Nostalgia just isn't what it used to be.
The only time I cheat nowadays is when I am testing a plugin (like "Reign of the UE" which is (I}almost done!(/I) I've got two pilots whom I went through the whole strings of missions in ROTUE (short for "Reign of the UE") with a HEAVILY modified Scoutships (thanks to dEViator II-Underride; it came with "Sabatour's Realm,")
When I said:

Strike that. Besides testing plugins, the only time I cheat is when I want to do the mission requirements for a plugin (for example, a few days ago I used Meowx's "Cheat-o" plugin, bought myself a Turncoat, loaded it with an innumberable amount of Bronzev plating, Azdaras, Zidagar fighters, all types of weaponry, and so forth, and did the UE central objective and the nebula exploration missions before taking out the cheat plug and buying myself a UE Cruiser (which I soon sold again for a Cresent Warship, as I discovered hat those seem to work better when you'r going through Hrekka on a regular basis) and playing F-25. Well, let me tell you, it gets kind of boring once you've done the UE missions over and over and over and you continually blast Voinian Cruisers to pieces in seconds. Let this be known to all "regualr game expansion" plug makers: If your game involves the continuation of a mission string, download a pilot modification program before you create a "test pilot" for your plug. One such program is available in the Addons.
God bless,
UE Patriot

Really, whats wrong with cheating if you've allready beat the game? Espescialy if your board. Now, cheating with OUT playing the game before is kinda cheap, but who realy cares? it's just a game. Wait, did i just say that? Never mind...
Anyways, I say if you want to cheat , you should just do it, though try to play the game with out doing it if ya can. Or if your testing a plug-in to make sure missions and graphics work right. I hate testing for a mission bit when I have no cash...
Just my 3 sense...
