Welcome to LBS 3: The Long Darkness Third in the Light Behind the Shadow series
AN EPIC ESCAPE VELOCITY ADVENTURE BY THE DIVINE ROOSTER MODERATED IN PART BY DAEDALUS
RULES: You may control only your own character. No total destruction. Your posts may only account for one weeks time and one day's action. No undefeatable protections. Tech and Civil advances are made during the set timeframe. Lifepads (small shield protection modules) may be used while aboard one's own or affiliated structure, and warsuits (suits with life support and shielding) may be used given time to put one on before going onto a hostile structure. STORY SUMMARY: After a major war between the superpowers, the Core Miranu Worlds have been destroyed by nuclear war, the Voinians, UE, and Emalgha have become part of the Corocian Alliance, technilogically advanced, and controlled by Captain Rooster and Commander Bubaganoosh.
The Azdgari have fallen under the leadership of a former Azdgari strandless refugee called Intimidator, and his son Carnotaur. The Azdgari have conquered the Igadzra and the Zidagar, as well as the South Tip. They have become strong. The remaining Miranu have gone to the North Tip, and have joined the Trader Alliance. The Trader Alliance is protected by the Silver Fleet, the guardians of peace, with their ruler being Daedalus, a former Renegade. The Rogue Empire, near the NT Asteroid Belt, is also becoming strong under the leadership of Nova6. They, although slightly small at the moment, are slowly becoming ever more powerful.
But the main threat to the galaxy now, is the (url="http://"http://www.pautsch.com/games/graphics/agzarai.gif")Agzarai Grand Empire(/url). Technilogically advanced, extremely intellegent, the Agzarai come from the Andromeda galaxy (using wormholes to get to the Milky Way), and have now begun a reign of terror on the inhabitents of this galaxy. No one is sure if they can be stopped, but they all know, they must be... Soon...
The only glint of hope, is a theoretical sub-space barrier that can keep out the Agzarai...
INTRO: Rooster's ship, the Zodiac, had just landed on Azdgari, and Rooster was now in the meeting room with Carnotaur. Admiral Rok Tinar, commander of the Ruccannan 7th Fleet, was there also. The Ruccannan, who were also fighting the Agzarai, came from the Andromeda galaxy, and now they wanted to help Carnotaur, Rooster, and their friends. Now, these three friends were meeting to discuss their next move. Daedalus was on F-25, the Silver Fleet Capital, and Nova6 was still on Rogue Prime.

As you can see, because of their size, strong arms and eight tenticles, Agzarai could take on twenty humans and win. Better yet, they could take on 20 of just about any species and win. They are emensely powerful, and can even break down heavy metal thick doors without a problem (and that one could have easily broken out through that glass). And they are not afraid of grenades either. They could survive two direct blasts from a grenade without a problem. They also usually aren't captured. Its very hard to do so. They usually just break down doors and most other obsticles that stand in their way. They can also kill themselves. It is also impossible to candcuff them (because of their tenticles). Here is some more information on them:
Race Height: Agzarai 10 feet tall
Info on Agzarai: The Agzarai are a race of vicious, ferocious, and brutal warriors, who's sole purpose in life is to conquer and destroy. Having a very bad temperment, the Agzarai have put most of their research into shields and weapons. The Agzarai's brain capacity is emense, and they are one of the most brilliant tacticians. Originally from their homeplanet, Agzaria, the Agzarai expanded and then conquered most of their home galaxy, Andromeda. However, using new technology developed by the Igzarah, the Agzarai were able to travel to this galaxy. Technilogically superior to even the Ramans, the Agzarai may be the most dangerous threat to the galaxy yet. The tallest Agzarai ever was Veyer Revsan, who stood 13 1/2 feet tall and was the emporer for 79 years. However, now there is another Veyer Revsan, who stands 13 3/4 feet tall, and is the emporer of the Agzarai.
I'de like to be apart of this... Rooster, can ya still use me? I'de like to be a branch of the Corocian Army with my own fleet etc.

When did we agree that Carno is a moderator is what i'm talking about. Besides, when did we say you could post in the story at all? Some decisions are obvious. Buba, please do come back into the story. You may command the C.W.S. Venturi and any Corocian fleet you require. Feel free to also command your own nation, as Rama doesn't seem to want the south tip.

I would like to create a set-up on Mirava, Leita, Priat, and Zanat. I would be a small branch of the Corocian Empire.
That area is controlled by the SIlverfleet. Once their detox is complete, you may negotiate to control the land. You don't have to be part of the Corocians to be allied with us, but do whatever you want. You may also have the south tip if you ask me for it.
Someone should make a plugin for this story.

Sorry Buba. Zanat and Priat are gone, uninhabitable, forever. They only had stations, and they were destroyed by 60 Gigaton Nuclear Hypermissiles. Mira cannot be reinhabited, but you can recolonize Leiton. Mira is, at the moment, still one big ball of magma (it was hit by eighty 60 Gigaton Nukes which completely melted the planet) and will not cool off for another 1000 years. Leiton can be made habitable, but it will take a very long time and tons of work.
To Rooster: You could just have told me to edit my post. No need to create another one. And why can't I be moderator?
Okay... What would the South Tip entitle?
Everything west and parallel to Mavs, i think. Except for the Corocian base in the DSN there which will require desensitivity first. The other Corocian and Azdgari systems are yours and the background is a rumored renegade uprising.
I chose Daedalus because i highly repected his judgement. It makes no sense to have two. Titan, we discussed that, and the Corocians and Ancara are already races in my Red Coroco plug. Carno, if you can edit your post to account for the differences in mine, i would appreciate it and would delete my post. The Miranu worlds have long cooled at the fractures and as we said before the Emalghan and Silverfleet scientists on F-25 have developed an improved detox device that will work to remove the radiation much more quickly. This is background development and indusputable without solid evidence otherwise. I'm waiting for Daedalus to produce another situation in the rescue efforts before i will be adding.
Huron Union (HU) The Huron Union is a group and their descendants of those still remaining from the first Huron people. After a long struggle against the Renegades the Hurons finally made a huge breakthrough into Renegade space. They took control of Mavs, Bakoom, Akrayhek, Unobot, and Malago. After conquering those planets they began to realize that a stratgeic alliance must be made and thus broke away from Corocian rule to form their own goverment. The Huron Union.
To Everyone: Nova6, and myself, will be away until Sunday afternoon. During that time we will be totally unable to post anything and thus will be unable to control the Rogue, Agzarai, Ruccannan, or Azdgari Empires. We give partial control to everyone else in the story, but only partial. You can have battles, tech advancements, thinking up strategies for defeating the Agzarai, and other stuff. However, please try to keep all new developements until Sunday afternoon at a minimum. When we get back on Sunday afternoon the story can continue normally.
The Agzarai cannot be defeated while we are gone. They cannot make any major move. No major move against the Agzarai can happen until we get back. Also, no one can make the Izgari evacuate. They will not evacuate from Izgari or Brokac Iz. No one can make them move. Compromise with them. The Izgari are rather stubborn and Carnotaur supports them. With help from the Ruccannan the barrier can be created outside Izgari space.
Also, here are a few points about the Ruccannan and Agzarai: 1-They do not look alike. Agzarai are not humanoid, Ruccannan are. 2-The Ruccannan are intellegent, cautious, thoughtfull, and not dumb or stupid. They don't usually make any tactical move unless they know exactly what they are getting into. However, they do make gambles every once and a while. 3-Agzarai are not stupid and they are not weak. I highly dislike people posting and acting like the Agzarai and just a bunch of wimpy little people. 4-Agzarai have superior scanning technology and so they almost never ever fall for traps.
That's pretty arrogant. YES, we will post until you get back. We can do anything until reverse action is required from the absent nations. Also, the Rucannan do not have the knowledge to construct a Hija Device as it requires Advanced Subspace technology. The races beyond Ancara trade do not have slipstream knowledge.
CONTINUATION: Rooster and Daedalus had begun damage control retrieving Izgari trade vessels hit by the Hija blast. Most of the fighters were left guarding the perimeter, and were playing games with one of the warships. The warship was trying to fire it's mesh projector at the fighters and send them flying. Whatever drunken officer was firing the projector soon became frustrated and fired aimlessly. Rooster: "Daedalus, i think i saw something in the asteroids out there. I'm gonna slipstream over real quick and check." Rooster powered his drive and consequently flew into one of the mesh blasts. The ship immediately switched course in slipstream. Rooster: "What the hell? Daedalus, i can't shut down the drive! I'm in some sort of flux!" Daedalus: "Calculate your exit point and feed it to us!" Rooster: "The grav pull of some Raman world is gonna...oh my god, i'm gonna impact!" The Pultaq went out of range of the transmission before Rooster could feed the impact point. Daedalus stood at the window in his office. He knew as well as anybody else what an impact at slipstream would do to Rooster.
If ya'll are thinking you can't post until Carno gets back, you can. Just don't require action from the Rogue, Agzarai, etc. I would appreciate ya'll posting attempts to rescue me (ahem, ahem) but don't actually find me (you can find the planet) until i can approve the rescue method. I'm on an uninhabited planet inside Raman space.
I think all this new tech advances is too confusing.
