By the way, you might like to know that Orson Scott Card added a fifth book to the Ender Quartet, called Ender's Shadow, a parallel novel to Ender's Game but with the story from Bean's perspective. In my view, it's right up there in quality with Ender's Game. Enjoy!

Several large dots on me radar.. looks like they just exploded with those crescent fighters popping out.. What do I do? Hit closet target... ONCE.. non-stop firing, don't stop and do not retarget until he is destroyed. And don't you dare touch auto-pilot... Hit closet target again..
Rinse, run, repeat...
You see, as my large ship {CW, UE Cruiser, Voinian Cruiser, Iggie...} is firing, the smaller crescent fighter zips around the side of the ship while mine is still pointed forward causing my turrents to spray.. other fighters follow and find themselves in quite the perdicerment as they are bombarded by a wall of turrent fire..... I usually end up smacking three ships before I nail the one I targeted..

Finished the mission, I'm sending the pilot file back... you just have to land on the station again to get your next mission.
And yeah, I've heard about Ender's Shadow... yet to read it tho. It looks really cool. I hear there's also one that focuses on Peter Wiggin after he became the Hegemon of earth (Shadow of the Hegemon)... It's either out right now, or comnig out very soon.

I did it!!! Hurrah and let there be rejoicing throughout the universe!
I acquired, through disabling and boarding, 6 escorts (2 Lazira, 4 Arada) and then went back into the Karra system...it was mighty close, but after a heated battle with the dreaded speedy crescent fighters (my 4 phase guns and plasma siphon blazing all the while) I managed to afterburn away when my armor was about 5 % and then my escorts took care of the other ships.
Whew!
Thanks to all of you who journeyed with me on this exhausting mission. I appreciate deeply the help and advice you all gave.

Hallelujah - now onto bigger and better missions.
I am so ticked off!!! I exited EVO after defeating the Karra renegades and then opened it up again after posting my victory message on this board - guess what - the game took me back to the last landing, which was on Groned, BEFORE my successful defeat of the renegades. Any other time I've left EVO in the middle of a system, I go back in and am exactly where I was before (in this case, licking my wounds in the Karra system).
Why, O why, of all times, did it revert back to the previous planet landing??
Of course, I've gone back in to Karra again and this time the renegades got me.
Fate has vomited on my comforter yet one more time...

Okay, managed to pull of that mission again...but what a letdown and fright originally.
This game is proving bad for my nerves...better get a cup of tea and calm down
Try capturing some escorts to help you---Azdgari Aradas are good anti-fighter ships and are a cinch to capture.
