Hi, i'm just wondering...why can't ambrosia let us see some in-game pictures of EV3, there are just planetary pics on the site etc, and also, will the Web Board members get some kind of special perk when they sign up for beta, like they choose us before the other people? Just speculating

I doubt that will, happen, I've got over 1,00 posts except I think I'm less likely than a lot of the rest of you to be alowed to beta test it, beside, beta testing does involve work, it's not just about playing the game before everyone else, you have to report problems with it, like spelling checks, bad masks on ships, graphgics not displaying right etc.

I'll be willing to do that...heck, I do it anyway for every game I play (although EVO has very few bugs, and customer service people don't ever listen to me :frown: ).

Beta testing is first come, first served. For a game like EVN, the beta test application on the Upcoming page may only be open for an hour or two before all the places fill up.
It also depends on your computer configuration, and it really helps to be on andrew's good side.

Because the engine is not yet complete. Besides, you learn more about the game if you have IRC.

Yeah ,IRC does have some good points.
i'd be more than willing to report bugs etc....but you are right, the spots will sell like butter in sunshine :frown:

According to the EV3 FAQ or whatever, you can't get EV Nova, unless one of the beta-testers gives it to you. Which they shouldn't.
As far as the irc server, I know I saw it somewhere, but I don't remember where.

I didn't know anyone lived there anymore after Morgoth died. Cool. Is it still evil and creepy in there?
The only people that get a guaranteed to get to beta test are the ones who did previous alpha tests for Atmos (like myself). Everyone else has to wait for it to open up, and you'll have to be really fast to get in. There is no EVN beta availible yet. You'd be very hard pressed to find the Combat Beta from the original Nova, even I don't have it anymore.
