I agree with you about the "difficulty", I think the Guardian was a wimp compared to a sea giant. I took him out in about 25-30 secs. and half that was chasing him to hit him.
I did however notice a slow down at the shops when i had like 160k worth of loot and 100's of potions. I simply had to sell most of it, to keep quick at the shop.

All they had to do was give us some new fancy weapon and let us go have our way with the sea giants. Noone wants to read an ending. Or just give us control of a giant and let us crush something. I know I can just go back to an earlier saved game and kill the giants. But the point is, a good game will always let you go back after ending with some new weapon or stat and let you find all the quests you missed or simply kill stuff in your new super hero status.

I do think there fixing alot of issues with the update. So I think excessive save times will hopefuly not be so long. Yet 10 mins? yikes. I can have hundreds of items yet only take a min to save and I use a iMac 350, what do you use?
With a plug such as this, you would most likely have to make a new game anyway to get the full experience of it.
Also the things like seashells and the termites is I think good for a plug in capable game. It gives you dead ends on purpose to make somthing out of them in plugs. Can you imagine the tons of plugs once coldstone is out, I dont think the limited side quests or items in PoG is anything to worry about.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm complaining before I ever even
see the final product. Really, I'm not. So please don't take it that way. All I
wanted to do was state my opinion that it stinks when there is no value at all with
seashells in the original game, and then a plugin is made that lets you use them for
something important. Inventory management is already a problem. On an older machine
it sometimes takes in excess of 10 minutes to save a game. The more items on the
character, the longer it seems to take. So my character is not going to carry around
tons of seashells simply because of the possibility someone may make a plugin to
utilize them. Instead, since they are worth gold to sell, I sold them. Granted I
have kept 3, 1 of each color, mostly so I can say I have one. But carrying around
multiples of something that has no value in keeping(in the original game) which will
add onto my already lengthy saving process... well, it just isn't feasible.

With what you have said, Mac12, that the seashells will be used in something to
enhance game play, but not fulfill any side quest or mission, I can accept. I still
think it kind of stinks that trinity won't "reload" the seashells, or have a seashell
cove area to get some more, or even have someone sell them. Since it is a plugin(read:
add on), it should assume we all sold ours, so if it wants to use 'em it should have
someway to get some. But as I stated, as it doesn't sound like not having seashells
will detract from the overall experience, nor interfer with any mission or quest, it
isn't a big deal.

A collective sigh of relief. Thank you.

part of game play(a mission, or what not), I certainly hope there will be ways to
get more seashells. I for one will be extremelly irritated if I have to start over
from scratch simply because I sold all the seashells I found, since that is all they
were good for. If trinity is going to require that you start a new character anyways,
since they have choices on profession, etc, then I won't be upset(new plug, new
character. Thats fine). I'll only be ticked if the only reason I need to start over
is because something that wasn't important in the regular game is suddenly important
in trinity, and there is no way to get it with the plugin.

My 2 cents.

You aren't the first person to mention this. I feel the same way. My biggest beef
is that you aren't able to continue exploring/chopping up sea giants, etc, after you
"finish." That alone would have made me more satisfied with the ending. It certainly
did lack some type of finale. Hopefully plug-ins will start rolling in in the near
future, allowing us to feel as happy with the ending, as the rest of the game.

General consensus seems to be they have no value other than for selling. Someone may
make a plug-in that uses them in the future, but for now either keep 'em or sell 'em.
They have no use.
