I don't like the Arada because the Lazira is better :p. Sure, the Arada is way faster and much more maneuverable, but does it need to be? Think about it; the Lazira can also outrun warships/cruisers, and neither can outrun crescent fighters. The Lazira has more room for outfits, can have an extra turret, has over twice the shielding (with a better recharge rate too), and a bigger crew.
I haven't tried an Azdara yet... but I really really want to!

I tend to use the Arada to trade in.
I fly the Arada, and my fleet flies the Big Blue Freighters (Miranu Heavy Freighters to the sane ones out there) - and I make a $hitload of money.
Then I move on.
Sorry, but the Arada doesn't work for me. I like the oh-my-god-will-you-look-at-that-firepower style ship. The oh-my-god-will-you-look-at-those-shields/armour/speed/turns style works well to, but only alongside firepower.
Mostly, I like the BANG-BANG-BANG-Goodbye-enemy style ship.
Basically, my favourite is an Igazra, upgraded as far as I can, with six Crescent Warships as escorts. With this, I've captured almost all of Voinian space. All they have left is Voinia and two others. I'm working on them.
When I enter a hostile system (except in Voinian space) my escorts fire about 21 SAD modules, launch a whole load of fighters, then I move on. Problem solved.
Sure, I'm lazy. But when it gets messy, I've got a few tricks up my sleeves...

Well the shield enhacer (the canister looking thing) can be found all over the Crescent. The shield generator is found when you do the Azdagari missions. There are two generators. The expieremental generator and the regular generator. They are the same thing but having both gives you two instead of having only one. The generator regenerates shields faster.
Anways, my expierience with the Arada is pretty cool. It's one of the fastest ships I have flown (considering I haven't flown the Azdara). It's a very decent ship and great for the begginig of the game but I like the omg-look-at-the-size-of-that-mother-f*er! I have and love my UE Cruiser. It actually feels more like a very heavy fighter like this:
• 5 Blaze Turrets or Phase Turrets (depending if you are in the Crescent) • 3 Pursuit Launchers • 100 Pursuits • 5 UE Fighters • 2 Fuel Scoops • 2 Fuel Tanks • ex. Shield Generator • 4 Shield Enchancers • 1 Dospect Armor • Azdagari Upgrade • RCS Upgrade • Thrust Upgrade • Engine Upgrade • Afterburner
Plus all the scanner stuff. The upgrades make it fast and manueverable. It's as fast as a Zidara but ALOT more powerful. It's an awesome ship and I have an Azdagari Warship, 2 Igazras, 2 Zidaras, and a Crescent Warship for escorts. I can take out any ship in the Crescent and most ships in Voinian space. I own Riomor, Yelts, most of Zidagar space, and all of Voinian space except for the Voinia system. It's sweeeeeeeeeeet!

Oedipus is a Genius. The azdara is the most powerful ship in the universe with a few upgrades. I'd take anything on with on, or did I forget to mention that I already have.

I killed lotsa renegades with a crescent fighter armed with shield enhancers and other god stuff. Ill chech out the azdara.
The igazra rocked when i used it, though. Until its shield ran out.
