I really don't see the point in bringing this up again, I remember it being a big war on the old board too, if somebody is going to make a EVMP then let them, but don't you think it would be kinda stupid considering you would have to be online 24/7 unless your ship just disappeared, and if it did you could just log off before you die, and also how would you dewcide what plug-ins to use, or woulden't you, there would just be too much to try and set up......

Wow! I never knew the EVO board could be so much fun. Those developers are a boring bunch.

For those who can't be bothered, I guess I can fill you in now. I am Tycho.(sounds like a manga film, do I here Tetsuo?) I program in Realbasic (url="http://"http://www.realbasic.com")http://www.realbasic.com(/url), and am currently working with sebek on a multiplayer ev type game.
I currently have made a small alpha(read buggy) 2 player evo arena game, which is basically two helians flying around shooting at each other. I have also started on the multiplayer system which I have called Event Horizon.
Sebek has been working on an ev/evo plugin library for realbasic. He released the source the other day. Then he chucked into an arena game he made quickly and added networking. I tried it the other night with him and it's pretty good.

Separating fact from fiction:
CS is NOT a newbie, just in case any of you guys was silly enough to think that. I've been around the community since Override came out (played EV for 4-5 months before that), but CS has probably been around 3 times as long, easily. He was the Admin of the old ev.com, and still has quite a role in this one.
Also, please stop believing EV3 is Nova, if you do you're in for a surprise I think. Consider the few facts we actually know. On Blazer's board Andrew Welsh (yes, THE Andrew Welsh) said EV3 was classified as "in development." Not in Beta or even Alpha, in development.
Conversly, anyone who knows ANYTHING about Nova knows its been in Alpha or Beta for months, maybe even all year.
About a year ago, on the old DiscBoards, bloody screenshots of Nova itself were posted for all to see. I remember this as clear as day, because I was so impressed with it.
I might add that this was done before EV3 was even a figment in most of our minds, much less ATMOS'.
Yes, I KNOW ATMOS is helping with EV3 in some way. Underline "in some way", because I think that's all it is. The reality is that EV3's engine is much younger than Nova's, and of the screenshots we have so far it doesn't resemble Nova all that much.
The 2 are different.

I'm glad we can all make out our petty differences.
Anyway, check the developer board if you want more info on this stuff. The whole thing is riddled with it. We're making it in RealBasic. And don't say "Realbasic? Why would you do that? You guys won't make it anywhere without C++."
We're using RB 'cause that's what we know. Also because then we then we don't need to go and program interfaces and our own spritesurface and network sockets. In RB, all of that is done for you.

Heh, first of all, your way to new to even begin to understand what we're doing, but it seems we've gone on long enough even the newbies are whining about us.
First of all, Both Mikee and myself have been around a very long time. Mikee at least a year or more, myself over 2.
Perhaps you should also read UECs post. I was once myself the admin of the ev and evo sites themselves.
I of all people know how foolish it is to bicker over how long we've been here.
Is that stopping Mikee and I from having a little fun and joking around? I mean, did you even bother to read my post in response to tycho saying I was joking? Or did you just decide to ignore that and be biased against me.
Finally, making physical threats when we live a thousand miles away all over two poeple you barely even know fighting over something we're not really fighting about it not only childish, but foolish.
