After my excursion with the Voinians (did I spell it right???) today, I have found my new favorite ship, the Voinian Cruiser (I know you'll be pleased, VoinianAmbassador). It is better than the UE Cruiser, although I have not yet tried the Igazra ship. It's only limitation is that it is slow, even with speed upgrades from Mira. Anyway, I have two questions. First, where do I get the Destroy Verril Prime Mission. I have done the raids on Emalgha to get the Voinian Cruiser, and done various other UE raids. I think I have done the requirements for the mission, but I cannot find it. Also, how do I buy the Voinian Rocket Turret? I know it came standard on the Voinian Cruiser, but being the idiot that I am, I sold it and now I can't buy it again even after selling the standard Rocket Launchers that I already have. Any help is appreciated.

The Rocket Turret counts as a Turret (are you sure :)), so you need to sell one of your Neutron Turrets (I presume that's what you have seeing as your a Voinian).

Voinians? Rules? Their ships looks like they've been done in KidPix for Christ's sake. The point about EVO is to beat the **** out of them and their ships cant stand a fight against the UE Cruiser. Actually, the Emalgha have ships that look much better then both the UE and the Vionions.. They're much more detailed then the others, and they've got those neato wood hules!!!

Come on people, I could easily destroy two UE Cruisers head-on in my Voinian Cruiser. Anyway, would anyone care to answer my question, about where to pick up the Destroy Verril Prime mission? Also, thanks Necromicon, about the Rocket Turrets. I don't think I'm going to give up my eight Neutron Turrets for a measly Rocket Turret though.

I just finished the Voinian string... and if I recall correctly, the stuff leading up to "Destroy Verill prime" can be found in the Vorik system.. I also recall that there's some stuff to do in Gamur as well. And just so you know, the end of the voinian string is a damn disappointment.

heh... I'd do reign of the voinians, but they **** with the Voinian Cruiser's stats, and make it godly... it's kinda pathetic.... the plug gives it 800 armor, 100+ shields, 8 neutron turrets, 2 rocket turrets + 100 rockets, and HUNDREDS of spare space. Why the hell did the creator do that?

When you say that you could take out two UE Cruisers with your ship, you either use the Monty Python technique or buy the ROTV Voinian Cruiser where the VC is almost invincible...... I'm talking about a fight between the UE Cruiser and the Voinian Cruiser without 50 layers of Bronev plating as an extra add and the attack strategy for both ships are "attack head on", not the Monty Python. I did that with two computer- ships and the UE Cruiser won with 30% in shield....

Now I know why I liked the Voinian Cruiser so much. It seems that I had thrown Reign of the Voinians in the Plugins folder and forgotten about it. I've been playing the regular Voinian missions with it. I took it out and got in my Cruiser, and, well, now it sucks. I could take on 2 UE Cruisers before I took the plug out but now, I'd be lucky to take down one. Boy, I feel smart now!!! I wonder why they did that. Sorry, you guys, I think I'll be heading back to my old UE Cruiser.

I'll think you'll find thal you can take out pretty much anythind you like, with the minimum of fuss by outfitting your V. cruiser with eight Miranu defence pod launchers and as many pods as you can carry. Sit on top of the enemy and press the secondary weapon key. Watch them burn.
If you work a lot in the Cressent and you get into a lot of dogfights with large ships then the VC is the ship to buy 'cause phase cannons do almost no damage to armor.

The problem with the Voinian Cruiser is its lack of speed. I think it has ?6? turrets, and with Rocket Launchers, and Bronev (sp?) plating, it can do a lot of damage. However, it is just to slow for me to take seriously. I think it makes a great escort in crescent space though.

I think it makes a great escort in crescent space though.
And that's exactly what I'm using it for. Those rockets do a LOT of damage to Crescent Fighters and other ships. Good luck on capturing one though. It took me several tries to finally capture one in a UE Cruiser with Marines.

Well, playing as a Voinian makes a change... very few people around here played against the UE, their first time around!
Rocket turret problems: your Reign I spec 'supercruiser' starts with more turrets than it's actually allowed to have. If you start removing any of those 10 turretted weapons, you can't put any back until you have less than six. It's still worth taking out the turreted rocket launchers, though, because...
(A) they always miss ( you won't be able to plunder UE ships for suitable ammo
Ordinary rockets will server you much better. For excursions into the Crescent, consider getting some dispersal rocket launchers.

You should be able to get your mission by checking the outpsts. Try Avann and Vorik.
BTW, I can take out 2 V. Cruisers with my UE Cruiser......
