It did something like that with me too, first they started out on top of each other, i managed to fix that, but then they started appearing in the wrong places. Eventually I gave u and instead of making them correspond to the terrain i made the terrain correespond to them.

I have come up with an interesting error message whilst testing "Walls of Stone" it is "Light overflow"

Has anyone else come across this mesage and if they have do they know what causes it?

OK! so Easter has come and gone and still no levels! I've been out of action for the past 6-8 weeks and have built up a backlog of ordinary ho-hum boring everyday work which I have now more or less got the better of, so it's back to Ferazel and the Shards of Jenariel. Walls of stone is finished and the next two levels are well started. (Their names have changed so many times I can't remember what they are just now but I think one is called Arachnophobia) After that there is only the endless stair (which I haven't started) and the big boss level and we're done - at least for this episode.

Is there anywhere that we can download what you have made on it so far?

The first half which is called "The Return" is on the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/ferazel/addons.html")addons page(/url). I don't normally like releasing anything else unless I'm fairly sure it's as bug proof as I can get it. However if I work like stink on it it should be out in a week or two.

Ferazel, that post was from febuary. Try posting on recent topics

Though I agree that responding to that specific post was a tad foolish, but it's been less than a month since the topic was posted in before he came along. Next time let's be a little more considerate with our charges of thread necromancy.

There are some kinds of topics that it doesn't matter how old it is if you post on it. For example, progress logs, (if you're a beta tester/creator), or the Cytherian "Character Info" thread, as team stories are a huge part of their community, and some others that I know of that I forget right now.

Hello everyone! I'm still alive - just about, and I am actually working on my levels again. I have just sorted out a few glitches on the Valley of despondency, and I am moving on to Arachnophobia, but I'm not even going to guess when I will have this thing finished.

By Easter probably - but which year?

Oh no! Arachnophobia has gone pear shaped! I'm going to have to completely re-do it.

AAAAARrrrrgggghh!!

Did you know if you happen to press the wrong function key you can completely wipe out a level?

I'll give you a hint. The wrong function keys are F5 wich moves the whole level left, F6 moves it right F7 up and F8 down. Useful function keys are F1 - PX Back mode, F2 - PX mid mode, F3 - FG tile mode. F4 gets you into FG overlay mode which doesn't work.

Yeah, and I think one of the F keys makes a small square out of the corner pieces. I too found this out the most miserable way. Losing so much work to nothingness is... astounding. My deepest sympathies. I learned my lesson, now I back up the files. Speaking of which maybe I should now.

I wish to officailly notify you that I'm not dead yet! It's just that when we upgraded to Panther I found I could not play FW, and in order to do anything i have to re-start in classic - so I tend to not do it. HOWEVER. I've just revived an old iMac so I might just get going again.

Glad to hear it. Lizwiz, I look forward to your always impressive levels, whenever they're ready. I consider Ferazel to be lying dormant for awhile. Once things kick into gear, four weeks or four years from now, we'll all get working again, dust off our favorite level sets and build and play them in fabulous OS X splendor. It's just a matter of time.

Amen.

In short, I'm not dead, never was dead, and will not be dead for a (hopefully) very long time, and feel like saying this, even though I don't really have anything IMPORTANT to say in the first place.

Well, except that I'm occasionally working on a little stuff here and there, too, maybe... Expect nothing, though.
